Tim Addison

Specialist Mining Engineer

About

Experienced mining engineer with a technology focus. I specialise in helping organisations to integrate new technologies into the mine planning value chain.

Working towards the application of mathematical modelling, graphics programming, and defensive engineering to the design and scheduling of mines.

Mission

I am interested in developing and implementing long-term business solutions to hard engineering problems. I have stewarded products that are now industry standard mine planning tools, and experienced the life-cycle of software development from first proposal to finished product. I understand how to scope business requirements with customers, manage expectations, balance resources, deliver on promises, and evangelize products.

I am also a qualified mining engineer experienced in Alastri, Vulcan, Deswik, Surpac, and Whittle software products. I have worked in iron ore, gold, lithium, and coal. I know the pipeline of operations for mine planning systems, and believe we have untapped potential to improve how we do business.
